Species: Three-Headed Land Chimera

Element: Born of the Fire

Looks: Stands upright on two gold-coloured talons. His lower half has white feathers, his torso goat’s fur and hooves, and a pair of flying-fox bat wings rest on his back. He has two snake-head-tails: Hemlock, who looks like a banded krait, and Castor, who looks like a Caspian cobra. The head and neck on his shoulders, Foxglove(?) looks like a red fox, with large goat horns that curve around his ears and a small goat-like, gold beard. The High Mage wears a burnt orange cloak, which is literally burned at the edges and has a high collar with a v-slit at the front. His very wide-brimmed mage’s hat of the same colour seemingly casts a dark shadow over Foxglove(?). Hemlock and Castor normally curve around to the front through large slits in his cloak’s sides. All three heads have bright, pale blue eyes.

Personalities:

• Hemlock- Is brash, driven and dramatic. He’s the one who handles speaking to the public, coming up with bold plans… Becoming desperate and rash when things go wrong. Always has an eye on the bigger picture. Excellent at keeping secrets- “When in doubt; deny, distract, direct!”, is his belief. He handles most of the physical movements, though they often end up erratic. He enjoys being in the spotlight.

• Castor- Is rash, witty and sharp. He attempts to handle planning, but in truth it’s a team effort. That said, he is the better day-to-day organiser. When things go wrong, he makes snappy decisions, long-term planning long abandoned. Excellent at keeping secrets- “When in doubt; misdirect, misconstrue and mislead!”, is his belief. He handles most of the magic, though the vastly powerful flames often go out of control. He enjoys being in the spotlight.

• Foxglove(?)- Is very, very quiet. Never says a word, vocally or otherwise, just stares. Menacingly. Or maybe he’s just napping under the shadow of his hat? He’s said to be the one that can judge the fates of others, that he’s ruthless and calm. Others say that he changed forever after seeing his True Face in The Judgement’s Eye and coming into power. He seems to have no qualms. Excellent at keeping secrets- “Dead beings tell no tales”, as they say.

Likes: Hemlock: Gloating about plans coming to fruition, challenges, daylight.

Castor: Plans coming to fruition with nobody the wiser, sensible routines, the night sky.

Foxglove(?): Sleeping in the rainforest, journeys to half-way across the world, sunsets.

Dislikes: Hemlock: Silence, reminders, reflections.

Castor: Loud noises, unexpected developments, reflections.

Foxglove(?): Doornails, dust, buckets, daisies, reflections.

Story Snippet: The High Mage became the dictator he is through use of The Judgement’s Eye, so one can only imagine how furious he was when Ether tricked him and snatched it away. He’s doing everything he can to destroy her and get it back. He may even make a deal with political powers larger than himself if he has to…

Fun Fact: The High Mage is entirely fireproof, as is everyone else Born of the Fire. For some uncontrollable-fire-related reason, he lords over the City of Glass despite hating the place.
